Had an awesome time with my friends! The beach nearby was perfect for relaxing, and we enjoyed exploring the unique shops in town. The food was a highlight for us, especially the tasty evening meals. Practical note , the breakfast could use a bit more variety.
One hiccup was the lack of air conditioning in our room, which made nights a bit uncomfortable since we hesitated to keep the patio doors open.

The staff genuinely exceeded expectations, going out of their way to ensure my dog and I felt right at home. The breakfast options were delightful, particularly the homemade ice cream. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was warm and inviting, complemented by its prime location for beach walks. I found the room a bit smaller than anticipated, and there were moments when noise from neighboring guests was noticeable, which disrupted the serenity I sought.

The location was perfect for visiting nearby attractions like Camber Sands and Rye. The stylish coastal decor added a lovely touch, really making us feel relaxed. Breakfast featured quality fare using local ingredients and was a highlight of our stay. we were disappointed when we discovered that we had been booked on a 'bed and light breakfast' rate, which meant extra charges for what we expected to be included.

The Gallivant offered a cozy atmosphere, ideal for relaxing, especially after a walk on Camber Sands. The staff genuinely tried to create a welcoming environment, accommodating my needs promptly. The food featured local ingredients, and I particularly enjoyed the lamb Gnocchi, bursting with flavor but could have used larger portions. The beach access was a big plus, allowing leisurely strolls with my dog. the room for my stay felt smaller than expected, and the shower drainage was an issue, affecting comfort. There was confusion surrounding the billing, especially regarding additional charges I wasn't informed about, like for the sparkling wine left in my room, which was frustrating. Breakfast choices seemed limited, and I missed out due to early serving times, which didn’t align with the relaxing weekend vibe I hoped for. I was hoping for a more flawless experience given the price point.

Absolutely loved our stay! We enjoyed relaxing in the garden area and soaking up the sun on the terrace. The only small hiccup was the bathroom extractor fan not working, but it didn’t take away from our overall experience. 🌞

The dining scene was a culinary delight with local ingredients shining in every bite. Breakfast was a standout, serving up quality fare. Plus, the weekend vibe was cozy, and the menu changed daily, keeping our evenings exciting! Happiness really is a trip to Gallivant!
While the Double Room was nicely decorated in that cape cod beach style, it was a bit snug for my taste. No hand shower, and storage was lacking, but it was still a comfy stay for a weekend romp.

missingWrote a review on Sept 08premium toiletriesgarden roomscozy retreatextractor fan
A nice touch includes premium shampoo and conditioner, enhancing the in-room experience. The delightful garden rooms provide a cozy retreat after a day at the nearby beach.
The extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t work properly, which could be bothersome during longer stays. I also encountered confusion around menu items and billing, especially with the complimentary sundowner drink and service charges feeling unclear. I noticed that the breakfast portions and quality varied. some days felt less generous than others. It felt a bit frustrating resolving misplaced dish orders, which impacted the dining experience. Lastly, the atmosphere in the lounge and restaurant dipped due to the chill in the air, making it less inviting to linger.

missingWrote a review on Sept 04
The garden area outside offered a peaceful retreat in the mornings, perfect for sipping coffee while reading a book. Local wines featured prominently on the menu, enhancing the dining experience, and the beautifully decorated spaces contributed to a cozy, inviting atmosphere.
Some areas outside felt a bit worn-down compared to the price being charged, which caught my attention upon arrival. The lack of air conditioning in the room was surprising given its small size, making it uncomfortably warm at times. the shower had drainage issues, causing a flood on the bathroom floor during use. The car park felt cramped and tricky to navigate, particularly for larger vehicles. Lastly, the confusion over the complimentary sundowner drink was frustrating. a clearer offering would have been appreciated.

The atmosphere was lovely and we enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing stay. The complimentary yoga class was a great way to start the day, and the Valentine's chocolates left for us were a delightful touch.
